Our story
Xaiva’s journey is rooted in six years of academic research, to find new ways of explaining AI decision-making by visualizing machine learning model behavior. Much of the foundational work underlying our platform has been published in peer-reviewed papers. This foundation, as well as a partnership with one of the largest Dutch insurers, has enabled us to develop an innovative solution that addresses the critical need for human oversight of AI. Our mission is to enable every organization to use AI responsibly.

We are committed to helping make every AI-based decision accessible, understandable, and explainable to any stakeholder. By providing human oversight of model decision-making, following principles such as those stated in the EU AI Act, we strive for ethical use of AI across sectors and setting new standards for how AI should operate in service to humanity.
Our team
Dennis Collaris
Dennis is a postdoc researcher at TU Eindhoven who has spent six years researching visualization solutions to help understand machine learning models. He has extensive experience in building digital solutions and graphic design.
In addition to his academic career, he helped launch several startups, including one of the largest Bitcoin stock exchanges of Europe at the time, and a highly regarded messaging app for iOS.
David van Daalen
David is an analytical, collaborative business developer with 11 years of commercial and solution consulting experience at various start-up, scale-up and mature technology companies. He has worked with Enterprise clients at EMEA level on AI-related initiatives in the financial services, health technology, energy, manufacturing and defense industries.
David's former employers include Microsoft, Salesforce and C3 AI.
